Interested in a paid Summer 2025 internship in Washington, DC? Join us to learn more about the U.S. Department of State Summer’s 2025 Student Internship Program (SIP), which will open soon for application.
Student Internship Program (SIP): The paid Student Internship Program (SIP), is merit-based (3.2 minimum GPA) full-time 10-week paid internships. These take place either in Washington, DC at the U.S. Department of State or (limited opportunities) at U.S. Embassy or Consulate overseas; we pay travel and housing.
Summer 2025 internship applications will open on September 30th Students must have completed at least 60 credit hours by the end of the 2024-25 academic year to be eligible. First-year graduate students are also eligible to apply. You can learn more about our internship program here, and you can sign up to receive notification when the application opens. It is important to note that students must be returning to school immediately following the internship to be eligible for the program.
