As a Statistician (College Graduate), candidates duties will consist of, but not limited to the following:
- Creates and distributes data reports and other correspondence.
- Provides evaluation and research support.
- Identifies and downloads data from external data sources.
- Performs data clean-up.
- Maintains databases.
- Conducts data analysis and queries.
- Creates tables and formulas in excel and other statistical programs (R, SAS, Python, and Tableau).
- Conducts internet searches.
- Aids senior staff in survey programs operations, and preparation of analytical reports.
- Updates standard operating procedures and frequently asked questions.
- Reviews and provides comments to supervisor on data strategic planning, governance, and performance measurement process.
- Helps other team members to support internal evaluations and develop and recommend an improved procedure for gathering, processing, and analyzing data.
- Assists senior staff in performing needs assessments and developing training materials and providing training and orientation seminars for MSHA personnel and selected regional and district staff.
