The Boston Globe is looking for a co-op to support our newsroom video team
for BostonGlobe.com. Videojournalists use video as a tool to enlighten, educate and entertain viewers by capturing interesting or captivating moments and stories in moving pictures displayed online. You’ll assist the video team and create a wide range of videos for the site while gaining experience in the fast-paced environment that is the BostonGlobe.com newsroom.

Responsibilities:
- The ability to think creatively; pitch, produce, shoot, write and edit a wide range of videos
for BostonGlobe.com - Know and understand what the story is about that is being shot, seek additional information if needed.
- Generate story ideas for daily use or projects
- Consistently produce high quality video-journalism, which has compelling content and meets technical standards
- Edit daily assignments and upload to the correct player
- Must be a proven team player who is excited and energetic about video production and telling stories through video
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere a must
- After Effects would an asset
- Experience shooting with DSLR cameras
- Strong news judgment
- Curiosity, intelligence, enthusiasm, motivation and a “growth mindset”
- Has a willingness to adapt, be audience focused with a curious mindset and committed to creating an inclusive work environment
