Kobre & Kim is currently accepting applications for the Litigation Assistant position with a start date of June 16, 2025, for the following office locations: New York, Miami, San Francisco, Cayman Islands, London, Dubai and Seoul. Optional Practical Training (OPT) is accepted for U.S. offices.
The Litigation Assistant position is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates or young professionals to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic fields of complex civil and criminal financial litigation. Litigation Assistants immediately join case teams and are responsible for assisting with various tasks, often enjoying close collaboration with the firm’s lawyers.
General duties include review and analysis of primary and legal documents; organization and maintenance of key deadlines and electronic case files; preparation of documents for meetings, court proceedings, and filings; development and implementation of organization systems on case teams; preparation of attorney and client binders; legal research; attendance at court or client meetings under lawyer supervision; and coordination of in-person document delivery. Litigation Assistants will develop a strong command of the practical and logistical foundations involved with legal work.
Litigation Assistants work with lawyers and other professionals across all Kobre & Kim locations including, but not limited to, our offices in New York, Delaware, Miami, San Francisco, São Paulo, Washington DC, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, Dubai, London and Tel Aviv. All Litigation Assistants have opportunities for advancement after their first year, including transitioning to management roles, specializing in practice areas and/or potentially transferring to other offices worldwide.
Job Qualifications
Litigation Assistants are typically high-performing university graduates. Candidates should possess a four-year university degree, strong academic record, and excellent teamwork, communication, organizational, and creative and anticipatory thinking skills. Candidates should also demonstrate a willingness and ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. We strongly encourage applications from self-confident, highly motivated individuals who display a broad range of academic and extracurricular interests. All majors including STEM, finance, social sciences and liberal arts should apply. Additional language skills that can be used in a business setting — Arabic, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish — are not required but strongly encouraged. Litigation Assistants are expected to remain with the firm for a minimum of two years.

- New York City, Washington DC and San Francisco only: At the time of posting, the base salary for this role is US $26 (minimum) – US $26 (maximum) per hour, based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus and overtime pay.The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
